My research specializes in 3D reconstructions of complex living organism for biodiversity study and archival. I implement imaging and 3D modeling protocols for field and studio conditions and advise on best practices. This work is conducted through iDigBio via the Austin Mast workgroup at Florida State University. Recent work has been published in the Botany Society of America's journal "Applications in Plant Sciences". Paper available here.
Current work is focused on advancing 3D modeling for biodiversity research and collections using 3D Gaussian splatting.
